Living by the Power of God’s Word Have you ever noticed that when you are facing certain situations in your life, when you are worried, when you are anxious, maybe you are worried about your finances or maybe your health, God’s word says in Philippians 4 verse 6 do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God, or when you feel threatened or when you are faced with something that you are afraid of, God’s word says God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind, maybe you are troubled within yourself, maybe your heart is troubled,
John 14 verse 1 says do not let your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in me, I urge you today to know God’s word for yourself, find God’s word within you, verse 8 this book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but meditate on it day and night, that whatever is in it may not depart from your mouth Be careful to do according to what is written, for by doing so you will succeed in all your ways and have great success.
The importance of God’s word is also made clear in verse 16 as it says, Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, singing to the Lord psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with grace in your hearts. Your word is the living Almighty God, which means it has life, it gives life and it gives life to believers, I pray that your word acts like fire and cleanses me of all my impurities, may you burn to ashes sin, the cycle of sin and the law of addiction like a hammer, I pray that your word destroys any evil stronghold in my life and I pray that it Build and strengthen a godly character in me, may your words act like a mirror so that it can expose my faults against the true likeness of Christ and like a lamp and a light that guides us in the darkness,
may your words give me direction and reveal purpose in my life like food, may your words provide nourishment because your word says that man cannot live by bread alone but by every word that comes from God, may your holy word, your word that has stood the test of time, may it cleanse and wash me, may it renew my mindset and build my faith Psalm 119 verses 168 to 172 reads I obey your precepts and your testimony because all my ways are before you, O Lord, let my cry come before you, give me understanding according to your word, let my plea come before you, deliver me according to your word, may my lips sing your praise
