God heals everyone
A king named Hezekiah was ruling the Jewish kingdom. Hezekiah was the son of King Ahaz. He did what was right in the eyes of God. Hezekiah is known for his religious reforms and courageous leadership.
But because of his pride, he fell seriously ill with an incurable disease. He became so ill that he could clearly see his death. Then God sent His prophet servant Isaiah to tell him that now you will not survive but will die. Because of this disease, your life is now certain to end. Hearing this, King Hezekiah turned his face towards the wall and started crying bitterly. Hezekiah prayed to God and pleaded for his life.
That God should have mercy on me and remember my good and righteous deeds that I have always done good deeds for the benefit of the Lord and the people and did what was good for you.
God heard his prayer and called out to Isaiah who was returning after delivering the message of death and had reached the courtyard of the palace. He said to him, “Go back and tell Hezekiah that I am extending your life by 15 more years.” The story of King Hezekiah teaches us faith, courage and devotion to religion. His strength to face religious reforms and military challenges is inspiring.
Moral: God listens to prayers and heals.
