God delivers from trouble

In a small village nestled in the foothills of the pahado lived a simple farmer named Soba. Soba was famous in the village for his kindness and hardworking nature. Despite his modest means, he never hesitated to help those in need and he helped them as much as he could.

One year, the monsoon rains were extremely heavy. The village river overflowed its banks, threatening to flood the entire village. The villagers were scared and started evacuating their homes. However, Soba decided to stay put to protect his home and his precious crops, which were the only source of livelihood for his family.

The rains continued unabated and the river water began to enter Soba’s fields. He realized that if the rains did not stop, his house would soon be submerged in water. He had tried everything possible to strengthen his house and protect his crops, but now he had nothing left to do and all he could do was pray.

Soba knelt down and prayed sincerely, “O God, please save my family, my home, and my crops. I have done everything in my power; now I leave the rest in your hands.”

As soon as he finished his prayers, he heard a loud noise. He ran outside and saw that a large tree had fallen across the river, diverting the water away from his village. Miraculously, the water level around his house began to recede. The tree had created a natural barrier, protecting not only Soba’s house but the entire village from the floodwaters.

The villagers watching from afar were astonished. They gathered around Soba’s house and praised his bravery. They also realized that it was not only Soba’s efforts but also divine intervention that had saved them.

The village elders declared that day a day of gratitude and celebration. They thanked soba for her unwavering faith and courage and believed that it was her prayers that moved God to protect their village. From that day on, the villagers celebrate an annual festival in honor of the divine intervention that saved them from the flood.

soba’s faith and God’s timely help became a legendary story in the village, reminding everyone that when humans do their best, God takes care of the rest.
