Victory Through Faith: A Prayer for Success and Divine Protection ,We all know what it is like to put off something important, maybe it is dealing with that to-do list lying on your desk at your workplace, maybe it is making an overdue phone call with someone to clear the air, or maybe it is simply cleaning your house, now if you have ever put off cleaning for a long time then you know how quickly everything becomes a pile of dirty clothes, dirty dishes, dust and even unpleasant odors, which can become a problem and if you do not control it or pay attention to it it can very quickly turn into a big mess and the same is true for our spiritual lives,
Ecclesiastes 10 verse 18 says that because of laziness the roof caves in and because of idleness the house leaks, do you know what this means, the extended translation presents a more descriptive picture as it reads that because of laziness the beams of the affairs of the kingdom sag and the roof bows down because of lack of zeal, but because of lack of zeal your spiritual zeal is the only way to serve the Lord Keep at it. The reality is that we often push God to the back of our minds. We know there are areas where we need to improve, but we are not driven by any sense of urgency.
We know we need to improve our prayer life, but we procrastinate. We know we need to improve our reading of God’s Word, but once again we procrastinate. Our relationship with Christ becomes an afterthought and the list of repairs grows longer and longer. The pile of dirty vessels of sin in our lives becomes a problem, however today if you declare to follow Christ, I urge you to walk with God daily. Don’t save them just for Sunday. Don’t take them lightly. Don’t think you have tomorrow to get right with them. You have access to the Creator of the universe.
You have access to all of His grace, all of His love, and all of His blessings. There is nothing more important in this life than knowing Him and growing in Him. If you are spiritually asleep, the devil will sneak up on you and attack you where you are weakest. When it comes to faith and power in God, do not underestimate yourself, do not allow yourself to be exposed, do not be found without the blood of Jesus at the door of your heart and your home, but guard every possible point of entry, stand firm in the gospel, First Thessalonians 5 verse 6, then we must not fall asleep like others, but we must stay awake and be sober, often we forget God in life, until we realize we need Him,
But God should not have to struggle to get your attention, a trial should not be the only thing that brings you to your knees, a problem should not be the only way God will ever hear from you, we must seek and follow Him every single day of our lives, our greatest defense against the schemes of the devil is to be grounded in the word of God sing psalms, praises and spiritual songs with gratitude to God in our hearts if we do these things we are moving towards a vibrant and healthy spiritual life
Pray to God that He will give you the strength to do what He wants Bring every flaw, every failing, and every area of weakness under His sovereign rule so that when the winds blow and the storms blow, your house will stand firm in Him [MUSIC] LET’S PRAY Heavenly Father forgive me Forgive me for all the times I neglected to walk with You And for all the times I pushed You aside for my selfish ambitions In Your kindness You have given me the gift of eternal life And all You ask from me in return is my complete and total surrender Yet I fail
I fail to give you the priority and attention you deserve So Father I am asking you to help me take my walk with you seriously and be intentional Help me put my spiritual house in order If there is any part of my faith that needs attention Lord give me the urgency and desire to fix it Open my eyes to the things I should do that will grow and develop my faith I consider you optional for my life
Lord I need you when you are absolutely necessary I need you in my career, in my family, in my home and in all my hopes and dreams Without you my whole life has no meaning Everything I have is all from you Even the air I breathe is a gift from you So Lord fill my heart with gratitude and with your grace Lord, cleanse me from all unrighteousness Help me to be vigilant about my spiritual life and not leave any opportunity for the devil.
Father, I ask that you help me maintain this house with the utmost diligence and care. Show me the areas of my life that are in dire need of maintenance, whether it be my prayer life, my scripture reading habits or my tendency to be unforgiving towards others. Prompt me to address these areas before they become internally broken and cause serious damage. Father, help me to ultimately rely on your grace. I cannot fix everything myself, I cannot make everything work the way it should,
but you, Lord, are the one who is able to heal and repair every area of brokenness in my life. You are the one who creates order out of chaos. Father, I thank you, I thank you.
